Sometimes a Day Coat as seen worn universally by the affluent and working class alike. The fabrics, trims, buttons and embroidery made the difference in class and station.   The common man’s coat we make is of plain coat weight wool or Virginia cloth. It has functional pockets, buttoned cuffs, full pleated skirts and back vent. It is completely lined with an appropriate fabric. This is designed from The Rat Catcher of Parisian Street Cries, Catch Pennys Hogarth and M.
